Blueberry Popsicle Day

I've never even heard of a blueberry popsicle...and it doesn't sound that appetizing.  I think I'll stick with cherry.

A bit gruesome perhaps, but how else could you eat your chicken?

Pop Top Day

(of a can) having a top with a tab or ring that when pulled up or off exposes a precut hole or peels off the entire lid.  Have a soda!

SEPTEMBER!!!

School has started, the weather will soon start turning colder.  We're 66.67% through the year.  Hard to believe it's gone by that fast, but hold on cause years are like toilet paper - the closer you get to the end, the faster it goes.

National Cherry Popover Day

Contrary to popular belief - I think - popovers are, in fact, different than turnovers.  So celebrate this one too!  More dessert for everyone!

National Trail Mix Day

If the weather permits a hike, this would be the perfect opportunity to celebrate some trail mix.  I personally quite enjoy the classic peanut/raisin/M & M combo.  They all compliment each other quite well.  But for those with allergies, or aversions to sugar, there are other options.

Eat Outside Day

Picnic!!!  Backyard BBQ!!!  Eating takeout on the front porch!!!  So many options, so little time.

National Toasted Marshmallow Day

The perfect toasted marshmallow, those others may disagree, is perfectly golden and gooey.  None of this lighting the thing on fire nonsense.  Golden or nothing!  I might get a t-shirt that says that....

More Herbs, Less Salt Day

A day dedicated to wellness.  Herbs are better for your health than salt, so use them to flavor your foods rather than resorting to salt.  You'll feel better - promise.

Chop Suey Day

Chop Suey...mmm...There has been some debate as to whether this is a Chinese or an American dish.  Frankly I don't think it really matters.  Either way, it's delicious.  For those not interested in the food aspect, here's a song.

Lemon Juice Day

Cures ills, adds flavor to foods, expires quickly.  What more could you want?  I just especially love buying lemon juice in those little lemon-shaped bottles.  That's cool.

Banana Lover's Day

I don't know that I'm a banana lover, but I am a banana liker.  I like banana's, banana bread, banana licuado, even banana flavored oatmeal.  Good times.

Petroleum Day

I guess we can celebrate the fact that though gas prices are still completely outrageous, at least they've started to go down instead of continuing to rise.
